Pube In The Butter 2

Most of this film has now been shot, Shooting in the studio was great fun, we've never done a live shoot before and it was quite the experience. I really think its brought the group together. Chris was organised and all of his actors turned up, there wasnt really a hiccup. It was all scheduled really well, we always shot anf finished on time. He did say the Live edit was a shambles, though i guess that makes the real editing job mine to do. Most of it was quite straightforward and we got some really good footage.

Here's a couple photo's from on location at the bandstand in Hartlepool. (Ive misplaced the images from the studio somewhere, I should have some up soon)

If You're Watching This 2

If Youre Watching This hasnt been a project ive been very involved in. In fact, Charles and Dan have went and shot the film without me since they organised their shoot last minute and I already told Scott that i would help on the pen snatcher that day. The footage looks OK, and the acting decent and it should be a simple enough edit. I just feel like i should have been a bit more involved, but we'll see in the final film. It might still be really good (besides a sound issue).

The Pen Snatcher 3

Ive started the editing, the editing process as a whole is probably going to take me longer than im used to since Avid is more fiddly than Premiere Pro is, which is a tiny bit worrying considering how late everybody has left the filming. The Pen Snatcher has 1 scene almost finished. Ive also played about with photoshop and created a couple mock-up posters for the film. The rest of the edit will have to wait until after easter, my edit suite has been moved to record Chris Coles's film in the studio.

The Pen Snatcher 2

Weve started filming!

Most of the film is out the way, its gone... okay. Scotts still been really nervous on set and hasnt stuck to the shot list. and he's also stuck his foot down and decided to cast Gary in the main role even though me, chris and craig said he wasnt great. and he really hasnt been great. In fact he's sort of tedious to work with and i feel he may let the whole film down. We also had to cancel one of our shoots at the dene because it started raining rather heavy. However the show must go on and the fact most of the film is out the way i guess is a good thing. a couple of photos to follow. You'll see we've shot in the stationary shop, been to the dene and shot in the tunnel, and built a jail cell in the studio!

London Trip!

Been on my first trip to london this week! It was great. went down with College to go to the BVE Expo where they show lots of new media gear and technology off, if it's your cup of tea it was a great time, sat on some of the sessions with the Avid lecturer and got some tips on colour correction and stuff. After that we had the night to ourselves, went for a walk around Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus, before getting tickets to see Spamalot on the west end.

The day after we went on the London Eye and the Dungeons (and got stuck on the bloody boat ride in there!), and walked around Westminister and Buckingham Palace before going for a coffee at Kings Cross and getting the train back.

It was a great trip! already planning my next visit to London!
